How to Get Pets in AION 2: Souls, Monsters, Chests & Shops

Follow documented sources instead of guessing from appearances.

Quick answers

  • Ordinary pets can be unlocked with 5 souls from a listed monster.
  • Documented source types (a pet can have several): monsters (166), pet chests (200), the rotating shop (200) and quests (3).
  • Chests listed for ordinary pets include Growth Pet Chest (Bound), Mysterious Pet Chest (Bound) and the matching Genus chest, such as Pet Chest: Fera (Bound).
  • Regions with the most documented pets (overlapping): Verteron (113), Altgard (108) and Chaotic Lower Reshanta (25).
  • This site has no verified drop rates, so a soul target is not a kill count.

Choose a source before a route

Use the atlas source and region filters together. Read the individual entry before travelling: a monster association and a precise spawn location are different pieces of information. We do not invent coordinates when the source does not provide them.

Separate catalogue entries from obtainable pets

Special pets may have acquisition conditions that differ from ordinary monster-linked entries. An unconfirmed entry is retained for identification but should not be counted as an available reward. Check the linked evidence and your version before spending time or currency.

Plan a repeatable session

Group your targets by region. Record your current level, then update your collection after the session. If a source is missing or contradictory, send the pet name, game version and a public reference to support@aion2pets.org.

Build a route around a place you can reach

Krall Laborer illustrates why a pet name is not a single spawn point. The listed sources include Krall Armed Soldier near Illusion Oratory Entrance, Krall Sentinel around Kraka Uphill Path, and Mutated Krall Laborer near Nahid Disposal Plant, all in Verteron records. Choose the area you can currently access instead of visiting all three in sequence. These are reference landmarks, not exact coordinates or a promise of a live spawn.

Check the reward before settling in

Open the current client’s pet Source menu and compare the monster and soul names with the entry. If a route disagrees, trust the current client and record the mismatch for correction. A listed chest and a direct monster source are different opportunities: inspect the chest’s current description before assuming it lets you select any pet. This atlas does not establish a drop rate, so it cannot convert a soul target into a reliable number of kills.

Use a stopping rule

Before starting, decide how much time you want to spend and which alternate target you will visit if access or competition makes the route impractical. Record souls gained, not just enemies defeated. A short empty run does not prove a source is wrong, and a long run does not guarantee the next drop. When no map is documented, use the named chest or shop reference as a lead rather than inventing a farming location.
